Tampere University (TAU)
Tampere University (TAU), Finland, was created in January 2019 by the merger of the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Technology, which joined forces to create a new foundation-based university. At the new University, technology and social sciences come together in a unique way. The University’s research groups and projects conduct multidisciplinary research across institutional boundaries. Part of its Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences (ITC), the Customized Parallel Computing (CPC) group has long term experience in the research of customized parallel computing solutions down from open source heterogenous parallel programming support infrastructures down to application-specific instruction set processor design and programming.
